Find and claim your seized fishing items
The Fisheries Compliance Unit conducts patrols across the Northern Territory coastline and waterways. Fisheries officers have broad powers and can seize items under section 33 of the Fisheries Act 1988 if they are not complaint with legislation, illegal to possess or may be connected to fisheries offences.
Where the owner of a seized item cannot be identified, the item is stored. If it is not claimed and collected, it may be disposed of.
