NT’s Kelly Shotton crowned 2026 AgriFutures Rural Women's Award National Runner-Up
Northern Territory’s 2026 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award winner Kelly Shotton has achieved national recognition, being named National Runner-Up at the AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award Gala Dinner in Canberra.
The award recognises Kelly’s innovative work developing Stationly, a practical technology platform designed to improve water management and operational decision-making across remote pastoral properties.
Kelly is a station hand, qualified pilot and senior head pilot with Consolidated Pastoral Company. Her years of hands-on experience on stations provided the insight behind the development of the platform.
Stationly enables station staff to record and monitor infrastructure including tanks, bores, troughs and fuel usage, helping turn information gathered in the field into useful reports and historical records.
The platform was developed to address a practical challenge Kelly experienced herself – critical information about water infrastructure and maintenance can be difficult to capture, share and retain across large and remote properties.
Kelly's NT Rural Women’s Award grant is being used to support the commercialisation and expansion of the platform, with the goal of making it accessible to pastoral operations across Australia.
The national recognition provides further funding and a national platform for Kelly to continue developing the business and sharing her experience with rural industries.
