Meet our new team members in Alice Springs
The Alice Springs livestock team is excited to welcome 2 new faces, Grace Pezutto and Caleb Schwarz. Here’s a little about who they are, where they’ve come from, and what they’re looking forward to in their new roles.
Grace has stepped into the role of pastoral technical officer for the Alice Springs region. Originally from a beef cattle enterprise in the Liverpool Plains of North-West New South Wales, Grace brings a strong community spirit and passion for agriculture.
A graduate of the University of New England with a Bachelor of Agriculture/Bachelor of Business (Agribusiness), Grace values sustainability and is enthusiastic about future industry innovation and adoption. She is excited to learn from industry leaders while experiencing the beauty and diversity of the Central Australian landscape.
Caleb joins the team as a livestock industries engagement officer based in Alice Springs. Originally from Waterloo in the Mid North of South Australia, Caleb grew up on his family property "Pindari," 125 kilometres north of Adelaide.
Raised on a mixed farm producing cereal crops and surrounded by stud Merino and Dohne sheep, encouraged Caleb to pursue a career in agriculture. During his agricultural science degree at the University of Adelaide, he developed a strong interest in the relationship between agriculture and ecology and is fascinated by what can be achieved through effective management.
Caleb is excited about what the new role has in store for him and is looking forward to exploring a different landscape and production system and getting to know the people who make it unique.
