Kidman Springs Field Day

Planning is well underway for the 2026 Kidman Springs Field Day, to be held on the 19 and 20 August 2026 at Victoria River Research Station.

The biennial event brings together producers, researchers, industry representatives and government staff for two days of industry presentations, research updates and networking opportunities.

Attendees can look forward to panel sessions on managing native pasture feed base, intensification and diversification in the North and people management, along with updates from the Northern Territory Cattleman’s Association (NTCA), North Australia Beef Research Council (NABRC) and Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF).

The program will also feature research project results, market and biosecurity updates, and a paddock tour to some of the trial sites at Kidman Springs.

A networking dinner and drinks will provide additional opportunities for attendees to connect with presenters and industry colleagues.

A full program will be released in the coming weeks.

Traditionally held every two years on the Barkly, the Forum is coming to the VRD in response to industry demand.

Designed for headstockmen, leading hands and anyone looking to strength their livestock management skills, the forum will cover key aspects of breeder management, animal health, practical pasture identification, leadership and communication.
