Agriculture Value-Add Grants Awarded
The Northern Territory Government has awarded Round 2 of the Agricultural Value-Add Grant, with 8 local businesses set to receive a total of $258,000 in funding, boosting jobs, investment, and innovation across the Territory’s $1.4 billion primary industries sector.
Round 2 attracted significant interest, with 53 applications submitted from major agricultural sectors across the Territory. Funding is supporting projects valued at more than $830,000, strengthening productivity and accelerating growth across the Territory’s agriculture industry.
This announcement highlights the strength of the NT economy and the confidence of local primary producers and agricultural businesses who are making significant co‑investments to adopt new technology, equipment, infrastructure and systems that strengthen productivity, expand processing capacity, and improve market access.
Grants of up to $50,000 were available and required a minimum 50% co-contribution, ensuring strong industry investment and a shared commitment to growth.
Funding for Round 2 was delivered in partnership with the Commonwealth Government, reflecting a shared commitment to growing and developing agriculture across the NT.

- S&H Best Fresh Growers & Packers, Development of Protected Cropping Technologies, $43,775.00
- Go Wide Cattle Company, Silage Feeding Yards and Storage, $34,217.91
- Berrimah Cattle Company, Berrimah Export Yards Upgrades, $18,821.34
- NT Tropical Passionfruit, Horsnell Road Expansion, $13,993.25
- Allison Hayward, Tropical Avocado Propagation Nursery, $5,134.38
These investments highlight the NT as a place where businesses are willing to back themselves, reinforcing the Territory’s reputation as a strong and growing economy.
Round 2 of the Agricultural Value-Add Grant opened on 6 October 2025 and closed on 3 November 2025, with projects expected to be completed by May 2026.
Applications were open to NT-based primary producers and agricultural-linked businesses with projects demonstrating clear benefits to the Territory’s agricultural sector. All submissions were assessed through a competitive process.
