Farm to Feed forum Katherine 2025
The Territory’s agriculture industry stakeholders converged in Katherine last week for the first Farm to Feed forum at the Katherine showgrounds.
The Northern Territory Government partnered with Cotton Australia, Northern Hub, the Cooperative Research Centre for Developing Northern Australia (CRCNA) and NT Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA) to deliver the forum on 19 June 2025 followed by a field trip on day 20 June 2025 to tour the Katherine Research Station and Claravale Station.
Farm to Feed Forum themes included:
- producer insights on growing and feeding local crops to cattle with a focus on cotton and silage
- the importance of cattle nutrition and the role of supplementary feed stuffs
- insights into crop and feed stuffs that are locally available and financially feasible
- future opportunities for trade, markets and supply chains.
The Farm to Feed Forum brought together NT cattle producers and agribusiness representatives to share knowledge, address challenges and explore future opportunities.
