Darwin host to Australian Fish Biology Conference
Last week Darwin hosted the 2025 Australian Society for Fish Biology (ASFB) annual conference, Australia’s leading conference on research, education and management of fish and fisheries in Australasia next week.
The Northern Territory Government was proud to be the platinum sponsor of the 2025 ASFB Conference with the theme of ‘Connecting Waters: Science, Policy and People for a stronger fish future’, highlighting the importance of uniting diverse perspectives across contemporary research and management to address the challenges facing aquatic ecosystems.
ASFB President John Morrongiello provide the conference welcome followed by an address from Mr Matt Osborne, Senior Executive Director Fisheries from the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries.
