The Caring for Country Music Competition is focused on raising awareness of the importance of caring for our country through biosecurity.
Biosecurity involves protecting our environment, maintaining the overall health and wellbeing of the land, its ecosystems, and safeguarding the people who depend on them.
The competition invites song and dance entries from everyone in the Northern Territory, Western Australia and Queensland.
Singers, musicians, songwriters, dancers, schools and creatives are encouraged to submit their entries for a chance to win a cash prize.
The prizes for each state and territory in the following categories are:
- Schools $2,500
- Individual $1,500
- Group $2,500
- Dance Video $2,500.
Shortlisted song entries will be featured on the competition website, where the community can vote for the People’s Choice Award winner.
Entries open Monday 14 July 2025 and will close 12 midnight Sunday 5 October.
This competition is an initiative of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Anima Co and MusicNT.
