Live exports via Darwin Port
Note:
- Figures are for stock exported through the Port of Darwin only; some NT stock are exported through interstate ports.
- The NT Cattle figures here have been rounded respectively and may not tally to totals.
The figures listed below are correct as at 31 May 2026 and are subject to change as further data becomes available.
All cattle exports (includes interstate and NT cattle) for YTD June 2026 are down 38% on YTD June 2025. This is driven by the Indonesia market which is down 34% for the same period last year. This trend is also reflected with NT cattle only which is down 36% (YTD June 2026) on the same time last year. Indonesia is the largest export market for Territory cattle, accounting for over 80% per cent of total cattle exports through the Port of Darwin.
