Library services
The Northern Territory Department of Agriculture and Fisheries operates 2 libraries, at Berrimah Farm in Darwin and at the Arid Zone Research Institute in Alice Springs.
Opening hours: 8:15am to 4.20pm Monday to Friday. Closed public holidays.
Library access
Library services are provided primarily for the staff of the department and its industry clients. See contact information below.
The 2 libraries take inter-library loan requests from other libraries.
Inter-library loans
Most library material is available for loan through the inter-library loan system. The public must place requests via their own local libraries. Industry clients in Darwin and Alice Springs may register to borrow material directly from the department’s libraries.

Department libraries hold material covering all of the following subjects: arid zone research and development, biosecurity, entomology, plant pathology, rangeland ecology, horticulture, agriculture, animal production, veterinary science, wildlife research and ecology, fisheries, aquaculture, marine science, marine biology and ecology, recreational fishing.
