Caring for Country Music Competition

The Caring for Country Music Competition is focused on raising awareness of the importance of caring for our country through biosecurity.

Biosecurity is about protecting our environment, maintaining the overall health and wellbeing of the land, its ecosystems, and the people who depend on it.

Northern Territory singers, musicians, songwriters, schools and creatives were invited to submit their song entries for a chance to win a cash prize.

The categories and prize money included:

  • Schools $2,500
  • Individual $1,500
  • Group $2,500
  • Most Innovative and Creative $2,500
  • People’s Choice $2,500

Entries are now closed and are being reviewed by the judges.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award is open. Voting is 1 vote per person, for 1 song only.

Votes will be accepted through Caring for Country - Music Competition website until midnight Friday 25 October.

Winners will be announced in due course.

This competition is an initiative of the NT Department of Agriculture and Fisheries in partnership with the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and MusicNT.
